PID controllers are used in most of the industrial control applications. The PID controllers are generally feedback type of controllers used in a dynamic system. Due to superior dynamic characteristics, DC motors are preferred in majority of industrial applications over the induction motors. This paper presents the design of PID controller using PID tuner GUI for a DC motor to improve stability and performance. The simulation results are presented PID controller with PID tuner. Finally observed that PID tuner gives better response than PID controller.
