A newly designed high power ultra-wideband solid state amplifier is presented in this paper. The spatial power combining technology and the multifunctional power management is discussed in this paper. A new ultra-wideband power combiner is designed to work efficiently at the frequency band range of 2 GHz-18 GHz with one N-type connector. A multifunctional power management module is designed to ensure the whole system work safely. A new radiator with several bended heat pipes located both on surface and inside is designed to dissipate 500W heat quickly so that the temperature rise can be controlled under 20 centigrade with proper fans. The experimental results show that the typical output power of 100W is successfully achieved.
