Under the dual carbon target, new energy will still show a steady development trend. The randomness and instability of its output require conventional power supply to provide capacity guarantee. However, the utilization hours of conventional power supply are decreasing year by year, and a single electric energy transaction can no longer meet the operation and development of conventional power supply. In order to solve the power supply security challenges brought by the large-scale integration of new energy, it is urgent to improve the power capacity compensation mechanism. On the basis of combing the typical experience of domestic capacity compensation, the provincial capacity compensation mechanism is designed, and the capacity compensation standard is calculated based on the installed and operating data of coal-fired power plants in Henan, in order to help the establishment of capacity compensation mechanism.
