This paper analyzed the edge diffraction effect of elements for antenna array synthesis using equivalent edge current (EEC) theory, and it is shown that the difference between the radiation pattern of different elements can be reduced by the circular edge compared with the straight edge. Its effectiveness is illustrated by two examples.
