We report the design and simulation of a double reversed U shaped meander line (DR U-ML) slow wave structure (SWS). The DR U-ML SWS has two U-ML with reversed symmetric in one unit. The simulation results show that the pierce impedance of DR U-ML is 15% higher than that of U-ML and the dispersion fluctuation in working frequency is 0.02c of DR U-ML compared with 0.06c of U-ML. The simulation results show that the DR U-ML is suitable for broadband TWT design.
