The voltage and frequency of the AC/DC hybrid microgrid while operating in the islanded mode can be significantly deteriorated by the electrical loads. The interlinking bidirectional converter plays a key role in controlling power exchange between AC and DC microgrids and system stabilization. In this paper, a conventional droop control scheme along with double control loop, including both voltage and current control loops, is proposed. The conventional droop control scheme calculates the required active and reactive power and generates the reference for the voltage loop that subsequently generates reference to the current loop. The double control loop provide fast response to the system dynamics and achieves robust control against system transients. Simulation results are provided to evaluate the performance of the proposed controller.
