This paper proposes an output feedback control for fuzzy descriptor systems. Using a Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy model, we design a fuzzy representation of the original nonlinear system. This fuzzy representation consists of local linear descriptor systems. An H/sup /spl infin// performance criterion is then given to attenuate disturbances to a prescribed level. Finally, a two-stage method is utilized to solve both controller and observer parameters.
