Automotive electronics have been developing fast since it came up. It is very common to apply Android system to automotive electronics because its functionality is becoming more and more complicated. However, the open-source nature of Android can cause many safety issues, especially in this area which has very high requirements for system safety and stability. This paper presents a novel methodology which can help to evaluate the performance, stability and safety of Android system used in automotive electronics. It also provides a demonstration show how to use this methodology and how to optimize the Android system based on the evaluation results.
