This paper investigates the force servo hydraulic press control system based on fuzzy PID algorithm. Since the force servo pressure of the hydraulic control system which manifests the manufacture quality is affected by the external load acting on the hydraulic cylinder, the mathematical model of the force servo hydraulic press system (FSHPS) based on the feed-forward compensation correction is established. The steady state error reduction and the phase lead correction of the system are carried out. The open-loop time domain and frequency domain indicators of the FSHPS illustrate the stability of the system, but the control performance such as rapidity and accuracy need to be improved. According to the transfer function of the FSHPS, a fuzzy PID control scheme is designed. The simulations of the system show that the control performance of the FSHPS based on the fuzzy PID algorithm is greatly improved.
