Near-range relative orbit determination has significant effect on on-orbit service. The relative orbit determination method with the monocular sequential images is proposed based on the cylindric coordinate for the near-range non-cooperative target in three-dimension space. The relative orbit state equation is constructed under the condition that the observing spacecraft is on a near-circular orbit. With the nonlinear measurement equation of the sequential images, the observability is analyzed with the Gram matrix. The simulation results indicate that the method can effectively realize the near-range relative orbit determination for flyby and leader-follower orbits.
