For the accurate detection and identification of hypersonic targets, it is necessary to correctly predict the ultraviolet radiation characteristics of solid rocket engine exhausted plume. In this paper, Set Star 27 solid rocket engine as an example, the distribution characteristics of the gas phase and Al203 particles in the exhausted plume of the solid rocket engine were studied. The statistical average optical characteristics of the particles were calculated based on the Mie theory. An ultraviolet radiation transmission model of the exhausted plume containing particles is established, and SHDOM is used to calculate the ultraviolet radiance of the exhausted plume of the engine, and the comparison with the experiment data shows a good agreement, which verifies the accuracy of our model.
