This paper presents a dual-hop FSO-RF protocol for multi-user systems, incorporating laser charging for relayed power enhancement. The relay utilizes an energy collection device to harvest the DC component of the FSO signal, strengthening transmit power. Additionally, we propose a UAV-based mixed FSO-RF system with energy harvesting capabilities. Experimental findings highlight that this approach extends the FSO coverage range and offers a low-complexity and energy-efficient solution, outperforming traditional RF energy harvesting schemes. Monte-Carlo simulations are conducted to validate the theoretical results.
