The strength enhancement effect of stitching on the T-joint under tensile load is verified through the tensile carrying capacity experiment of stitched/non-stitched composite T-joints. The reasons are analyzed based on both the experimental phenomenon and the failure mode of the specimens. Experimental results show that under the action of tensile load, stitching has little effect on the initial failure load of T-joint, but has an effect on the final failure load. The research can provide a basic support for the simulation analysis and integrated structure design of stitched composite T-joint.
