The advantages of Lithium-ion batteries can be concluded as specific energy and power, good cycling performance, and environmental friendliness. However, based on the actual operation situation, the operating conditions of energy storage power plants are complex. Existing operating experience has shown that energy storage batteries that are in frequency modulation mode for a long time may experience excessive temperature differences between the battery cells. This article uses Comsol software to model and numerically simulate the flow field and temperature field of lithium-ion batteries during active air cooling. The temperature of the batteries under different arrangement modes is compared, providing a basis for further research on battery cooling factors and achieving safe operation of the batteries.
