Hydrogen sensors based on two-dimensional (2D) materials have gained significant attention due to exceptional sensitivity, promising prospects for applications in gas detection and monitoring. This paper investigates the interplay between interface traps and sensor sensitivity in a doping-less like molybdenum ditelluride (MoTe2) hydrogen sensor. Through NEGF simulation we show that the presence of interface traps at the junction between the 2D material and the oxide impact the overall sensor behavior.
