The transformation of an intensity distribution from Gaussian to a flattop, doughnut, etc. is a very important task due to rapid development of laser technology and its applications. And the necessary result could be obtained with the use of flexible deformable mirrors that changes the phase of the beam and modifies the shape of the focal spot in the farfield zone. In this paper, we present the theoretical and experimental results of the flattop and doughnut beam formation with the use of a bimorph and stacked-actuator deformable mirrors as well as LC phase modulator.
