This paper proposes an in-band full-duplexing (IBFD) cross-layer channel access scheme for in-home broadband power line communication (BB-PLC) networks to enhance the medium access control (MAC) layer throughput. First, the IBFD channel sensing scheme is designed to allow STAs to detect collisions while transmitting to minimize the time spent on recovering collisions. Then, with considering the residual self-interference (RSI) in PHY layer, the hidden station (STA) collision resolve scheme is applied at central coordinator (CCo) to reduce the collision probability caused by hidden STAs. Simulated results finally show that the performance achieved by our protocol significantly outperforms comparative protocols.
