Digital channel twin is a useful tool to evaluate the physical or link level performance in satellite communication scenario. In this paper, a generical architecture for large-scale fading channel is developed. On this basis, a CORDIC-based generator has been designed for improving the efficiency of hardware for channel twin. For generating a single large-scale fading channel, the latency is cut by 62.5% over the classical CORDIC method for 16-bit data width, the hardware resource is reduced from 8.43% to 5.58% over the LUT method. Hardware generated results have shown that the statistical properties of proposed generation method, PDF consistent well with the theoretical ones.
