This paper explores the use of artificial intelligence (AI) for optimizing the operation of energy storage systems obtained from renewable sources. After presenting the theoretical foundations of renewable energy, energy storage, and AI optimization algorithms, the paper focuses on how AI can be applied to improve the efficiency and performance of energy storage systems. Existing case studies are analyzed to highlight the advantages and challenges of using AI in this context. Ultimately, this paper concludes that using AI for optimizing renewable energy storage systems is a promising method to enhance efficiency and contribute to the transition to a low-carbon economy.
