Based on the linear small signal models of the current-mode DC/DC converters, effect of the slop compensation and the current sampling gain to the loop stability are discussed. The proper slop compensation is obtained when setting the quality factor Q equal to 0.7, it not only meets the needs of the circuit stability but also assures the response speed and the dynamic characteristic. A design criteria for the current sampling gain is presented. The current sampling gain should be less than one so that the effect of this gain to the loop stability can be diminished and the steady state of the system can be guaranteed.
