Spacecraft platforms are highly complex systems which involves interaction between various subsystems or packages that are all managed and supervised by a single entity. Cable Harness forms an important part of spacecraft which almost contributes to ten percent of the total dry weight. Not only harness contributes to the dry mass of satellite but also increases the complexity during assembly, integration and testing activities. A huge number of data measurements at various locations are required to be monitored which steadily adds on to the difficulty in spacecraft testing. Hence there is a need to replace this wired communication with wireless technologies used in market. Use of wireless technology and its existence has been available for commercial purposes, but they are yet to be explored in spacecraft. This paper mainly focuses on intra spacecraft wireless communication of data signals as a solution for minimizing the spacecraft harness thus reducing the integration effort, spacecraft dry mass and also the danger of damaging the mechanical interfaces during testing.
