A reconfigurable switched-beam antenna using a frequency-selective surface (FSS) active cylindrical structure is proposed. The antenna was originally designed and manufactured for 2.4 GHz in [1]. The Harmonic dual-band operating characteristics in the S11 graph were observed in the 24/28 GHz band. The entire structure is validated by CST simulation Studio. The antenna is promising in 5G applications where multiple beams are needed simultaneously.
