The proposed AI-based system for helmet detection aims to improve the safety of motorcyclists. The system utilizes deep learning algorithms to accurately recognize helmets in various lighting conditions and on different types of motorcyclists. The proposed system can provide valuable data to law enforcement agencies and transportation engineers to better understand the compliance rate of helmet-wearing laws and to develop more effective strategies for improving motorcycle safety. Moreover, the system can alert motorcyclists who are not wearing helmets and encourage them to wear helmets, which can ultimately reduce the number of fatal motorcycle accidents.
