Different rigorous ambiguity validation methods are proposed to improve the ambiguity resolution reliability, since it is the key to ensure real-time kinematic positioning accuracy. However, it is impossible to satisfy the requirements of integrity and availability in safety-critical applications by only relying on ambiguity validation methods without increasing the redundancy of measurement. In this paper, we focus on analyzing the benefits of redundant dual-receivers configuration for ambiguity resolution. The global availability simulation based on real BDS-3 data are utilized to verify the improvement of RTK positioning integrity and availability performance by redundant dual-receivers configuration. The results have shown that the positioning availability based on redundant dual-receivers configuration are above 99.9% in Asia Pacific, which will meet the requirement of life safety-critical navigation applications.
