In this paper, we propose an energy-saving dispatching model for thermal power and a collaborative dispatching model for thermal power and renewable energy power considering carbon trading constraints. The effectiveness of the proposed models is verified through a city grid in north China. By controlling the carbon emission trading price and the ratio of free quota, the sensitivity of total generation cost is analyzed. The decision making of policymakers could be well supported by the analytical results.
