A novel bandwidth-enhanced dual-polarized cavity-backed slot antennas (CBSAs) using a multimode cavity resonator for the 3.5GHz band is proposed. The fundamental cavity modes and slot modes are combined to enhance the bandwidth. Multiple radiation slots are introduced to enhance the radiation gain, which can also help to improve the impedance matching to enhance the bandwidth. Besides, the proposed feeding structure can reduce the port-to-port coupling strength and produce higher isolation. Simulated results show that the proposed CBSAs operating bandwidth is from 3.3GHz to 3.6GHz, which in isolation is better than 50 dB.
