The incorporation of high-end medical equipment and the development of related services in Healthcare Organizations has led to an increasing demand for flexible and efficient management systems. Data Centers and more specifically Cloud Data Centers are the emerging technology in addressing large organizations' needs in a Big-Data era. A Business Process Management approach regarding the functionality of a Medical Equipment Data Center is hereby presented. The aforementioned approach was tested in Greek hospitals over a year's period and the first results are hereby presented. It is suggested that such approaches of a healthcare ecosystem will allow Healthcare Organizations to evolve within the constantly evolving dynamic environment by improving costs, functionality and resources management.
