In recent years, with the rapid development of the international society, more and more countries regard higher education as an important national policy for educational development, aiming to cultivate more all-round talents. At the time when the international situation is constantly changing, especially today when the epidemic is still in the spreading period, the sustainability and health of the higher education system is a major concern for the education department of each country. This article mainly focuses on the health and development of the national higher education system, using principal component analysis to establish an evaluation model, focusing on solving the policy problems existing in the relevant national higher education system and visualizing the problems. Based on the Internet information, we have mined the data of the past decade, discussed the situation of higher education in five countries including the United States, and analyzed the advantages and disadvantages of higher education in each country, so as to find the countries with unstable higher education system. First of all, we preprocess the obtained data to ensure the validity of the data. For each influencing factor of the higher education system, we adopted the principal component analysis method to reduce the dimension, and extracted the four indicators with high degree of influence and established the evaluation model. In addition, in the sensitivity analysis, we focus on the impact of four indicators, such as degree value and education quality, on the higher education system, which proves that the model has a wide range of application and high effectiveness.
