In the paper, a hybrid of finite element boundary integral (FEBI) method and physical optics (PO) is discussed for analyzing scattering problems of inhomogeneous structures with electrically large-scale platform. The hybrid of these two methods is realized by an iterative process. The hybrid method can efficiently reduce the number of unknowns and the computational complexity while preserving acceptable accuracy. Some numerical results are displayed to illuminate the efficiency of the method.
