In this paper, a Hybrid 2-D–3-D wideband FSS(frequency selective surface) with 50° angular stability is proposed. We design the three-dimensional FSS by symmetrically cascading the three-layer structure, including two layers of hexagonal patch and one layer of three-dimensional structure. The three-dimensional structure in the middle of this FSS enhances the coupling of the upper and lower hexagon patches and increases the bandwidth of the three-dimensional FSS. The high selectivity of FSS is further enhanced by introducing a transmission zero through the high-frequency edge of the passband. Finally, a frequency selective surface works at the center frequency of 10.9GHz with a 1-dB passband bandwidth of 7.7 to 14.1GHz and good high selectivity. When the incidence angle is 50°, the FSS still has a stable frequency selection performance.
