Energy is the main concern now a days not only in commercial sector but also in residential sector. A major part of energy is used by residential sector. A major source of reducing energy consumption is by using buildings thermal insulations. After that a major concern is the optimum insulation thickness. A lot of research is in progress in developed countries but unfortunately there is a big research gap in developing countries like Pakistan. The main objective of this paper is to find the optimum insulation thickness by using Life Cycle Cost Analysis (LCCA) method for three different insulation and eight different cities of Pakistan. Life Cycle, Payback Period, Annual Energy Saving are also calculated.
