With the rapid development of China's economy, the total energy consumption of the country is increasing, of which the energy consumption of the building operation stage accounts for a quarter of the total proportion, and building energy efficiency has been paid attention to. In order to respond to the dual-carbon target to achieve the purpose of energy saving and carbon reduction, this paper takes the substation in the frigid region as the research object, simulates the energy consumption of its building operation and carries out the sensitivity analysis, and obtains the conclusions as follows; the substation in the frigid region due to its high indoor heat generation building operation cold load is much higher than other buildings in the frigid region, increasing the heat preservation of enclosure structure can make the heat load of the building reduced by 32.5 per cent, and increasing the number of room ventilation can make the building cold load decreased by 40 per cent. Increasing the heat preservation performance of the enclosure can reduce the heat load of the building by 32.5%, increasing the number of room ventilation can reduce the cold load of the building by 40%, and adopting a series of passive building technologies can reduce the building energy consumption by 35.5%. This paper is a guide to reducing carbon emissions from substation buildings.
