The temperature rise test is a type test of GIS products. It is to check if the temperature rise is stable within the specified limits when the rated current is passed. In order to study the temperature rise of a new 252kV GIS disconnector under a certain current value, the temperature rise simulation analysis by using Ansys Workbench was carried out. The simulation results were verified by combining the temperature rise value measured by the actual temperature rise test. The results show that the temperature rise value of all measurement points at the test current is basically the same as the analytical temperature rise value of ANSYS.
