A wideband programmable frequency division chain is presented in this paper for phase-locked loop applications. The divider chain achieves a frequency-division ratio of 256-507 and a frequency-division range of 40% (16-24 GHz) when input power is 0dBm. The chip is designed based on TSMC 65nm CMOS process, which draws 13 mA from a 1V power supply.
