This paper presents a light detection and ranging (Lidar) receiver using direct time of flight (DTOF) sensor to realize double detection circuit architecture of intensity and distance information. The circuit to realize intensity detection in the architecture includes two functional modules: PDH (peak detect and hold) and single-slope ADC (SS-ADC). PDH circuit realizes peak detection of ns-level pulse width with ultra-low power consumption. SS-ADC adds a self-calibration ramp generator based on current integration structure to generate high-precision linear ramp signal, which can significantly improve the overall accuracy of ADC. The circuit is realized and manufactured by 55-nm CMOS technology. The PDH circuit can detect the pulse amplitude range of 500mV~1.1V, and the minimum pulse width is 5ns. The maximum absolute error is less than 14mV. The layout area of PDH circuit is only 30um*13um. SS-ADC consumes 1.676mW at the sampling rate of 40kS/s, achieving a SNDR of 66.78dB. The layout area is 135.6um*149um.
