We propose a novel integrated Rotman lens based on the commercially mature 220nm-thick SOI platform, which supports 33 optical beamforming angles ranging from -75° to 75°. By adopting optical switch and coherent detection technology, the OBFN with Rotman lens can support multibeam operation and the sweeping speed is as fast as nanoseconds in prospect.
