Sliding mode control with differential compensation solves the overshoot problem of the system to a great extent, but also increases the energy consumption of the steering gear. A sliding mode controller with nonlinear modification is designed to solve this problem, and the MMG model of “MV KOTA SEGAR” is simulated. The simulation results show that this method can reduce the energy consumption of steering gear to a certain extent, and has good robustness.
