Government agencies and universities at all levels in China have formulated measures to implement ideological and political education in the Internet environment. Based on 1,428 survey samples from Guangdong Industry Polytechnic, under the condition of controlling the gender and grade control variables of college students, we use an ordered logistic regression model to analyze the challenges faced by college students’ ideological and political education. The empirical results show that grade and the dependent variable are significantly positively correlated, while gender is not significant. The other regression coefficients p all show significant negative correlation, that is, the more college students have access to Internet information, the longer the fragmented reading habits, and the longer online time, the more obvious the impact on their ideological and political education. This paper investigates the challenges faced by college students’ ideological and political education in the Internet context, and proposes coping strategies and eight implementation paths for three-levels of practitioners, hoping to improve the effectiveness of college students’ ideological and political education.
