A wideband and high gain Fabry-Pérot (F-P) antenna array with high isolation is proposed for 5G applications. Dual polarization patch antenna is used as feed antenna. The proposed partially reflective surface (PRS) consisted of square rings and irregular radiative patches is used in wideband FPRA, and the units cell obtains a positive phase gradient in the frequency of 24–29 GHz. Metamaterial absorbers are used to improve the isolation between the two antenna elements, its absorptivity is greater than 85% over the entire operating band for TE and TM waves at incident angles of 0° to 40°. Simulated results show that the impedance bandwidth ranges is from 22.7 to 28.5 GHz (22.6% FBW), and the realized gain is up to 12.2 dBi. A decoupling absorbers could achieve over 21.5-dB isolation improved. It can be used in wearable devices for human health detection.
