This paper mainly analyzes the target gear selection method when there are multiple gears on a single shift hub at the same time, and puts forward the optimal shift strategy based on different current gears. According to the speed signal sensor, accelerator pedal sensor and SOC information, the target gear of the vehicle is calculated according to the shifting rule. According to the information of the position sensor, the speed sensor and the current sensor of the gear shifting motor, the actual gear position is calculated. Based on the proposed shift strategy, the target gear position of the vehicle is optimized and the optimized target gear position is calculated. The closed-loop control platform is established by using the control strategy and 3DHT real vehicle. The proposed gear selection strategy is tested on the vehicle. The test results show that the proposed shift strategy based on different current actual gear can calculate the target gear reasonably, and the target gear is more in line with the working principle of the actuator. It can also ensure that the target gear of transmission execution is more reasonable when shifting from 1st gear to 3rd gear and 3rd gear to 1st gear, effectively reducing the impact speed on 2nd gear, optimizing the shift performance, and thus improving the service life of the 2nd gear synchronizer.
