A kind of form-stable PCM with higher thermal conductivity were prepared by incorporation of modified graphite (MG) with the capric acid (CA)-myristic acid (MA)/poly-methyl methacrylate (PMMA) composite using the bulk-polymerization method. Modified graphite in different mass fraction (5%, 10% and 15%) was added into the CA-MA/PMMA composite and the thermal conductivities of the composites were measured by transient hot-wire method. The results showed that thermal conductivity of the prepared composite increased with increasing addition of the modified graphite. The thermal conductivity of the composite PCM increased approximately as 195.9% by adding 15wt% MG. Characterization of the composite by SEM and FT-IR and thermal properties by DSC were investigated. The results indicated that the MG was successfully inserted into the matrix without any chemical reaction with each other. The prepared composite kept the good thermal properties so that it can applied in thermal energy storage.
