Low-frequency vibration energy harvesting has been the key challenge in the field of energy harvesting. In an attempt to address this challenge, a novel vibration energy harvester based on the motion-synchronized multilayer electrostatic generator is proposed in this work. The theoretical model of the energy harvester is developed, and the output performance of the harvester is studied by calculation. The calculated results demonstrate that the proposed harvester can effectively harvest energy from low-frequency vibrations, achieving an output power of 5.8μW/Hz at the frequency range of 6-22Hz with an acceleration of 0.3g. This work offers a promising and effective method for harvesting vibration energy within the low-frequency range.
