This article proposes a control design of the three-phase PFC rectifier using triangle current and third-order current. The three-phase PFC rectifier was chosen among the other topologies because of the advantage of lower switch count, higher quality input current, and small DC-link capacitor requirement. The complete steady state analysis of this three phase PFC rectifier is explained, and after that appropriate duty is derived for the inductor current reference and finally the control of the inductor current is achieved. Two different currents, third order and triangle current are generated and tracked successfully with the help of proper duty and PI control. The PFC rectifier is analyzed for two different current signals and for two other load conditions. The MATLAB® simulation results have been shown for the verification of the study.
