State of charge of energy storage is a very important parameter in electric vehicle. The equivalent circuit model for tractive super-capacitor made of activated carbon electrode and aqueous electrolyte is analyzed which is used in predicting the state of charge of tractive super-capacitor. A four-order T-style RC equivalent circuit model is built based on the analysis of pulse charging and discharging curves in the range of working voltage. The calculation method of model parameters is discussed in detail. Comparison result between simulation and experimental curves shows that the fitting accuracy of the equivalent circuit model is satisfied in pulse charging and discharging.
