A compact Vivaldi-like antenna operating in the frequency range of 5-18 GHz to be used for Airborne EW phased array applications is presented in this paper. A planar 1D array of 8 identical elements and a power combining network to feed the array are also reported. Performance of the radiator in terms of reflection coefficient, radiation efficiency, gain, and radiation pattern are reported while the S- are reported parameters in case of power combining array. The proposed solution is compact and has a stable radiation pattern over the entire operating frequency range. It could be a better candidate for airborne EW and surveillance systems.
