Coherent anti-Stokes Raman scattering (CARS) via terahertz-frequency optical phonon modes was successfully applied to the imaging of periodically poled lithium niobate crystals. Using spectral changes in the E-mode (50-1100 cm-1= 1.5-33 THz), periodic structures of ferroelectric domains (period: 20 μm) were clearly mapped with CARS signals.
