The iron bird is a kind of “iron bird environment” which includes many auxiliary test benches and experimental devices. This thesis describes the main features, the definition of modular design and design process of modern aircraft iron bird. Modular architecture design, bench design, system subjects' installation design and experimental equipment design examples are also described particularly.
