A dual band dual polarized 6/5 GHz capacitive coupled patch antenna for communication system is presented in the proposed design. There is a pair of metallic rectangular disks connected to 50-ohm connector on the bottom of patch. These rectangular disks compensate the inductive effect generated due to probe height. Simulated results of proposed antenna show that for both linear Horizontal and linear vertical polarization return loss is less than 20dB. Proposed antenna gives linear Horizontal polarization at 5 GHz with bandwidth 21 % and linear Vertical polarization at 6 GHz with bandwidth 28%. Gain for Linear Horizontal polarization is observed as 7.762dBic and for linear vertical it is 8.3962dBic.
