Recently, the Ultrasonic wavefront computing apparatus (UWFCA) was introduced to compute the Fourier Transform (FT). Piezoelectric transducers are traditionally simulated by the Finite Element Method (FEM). However, FEM simulation of large transducer arrays and a large SiO 2 medium (4 3 mm 3 ) is computationally intractable on standalone workstations. Hence, we demonstrate, for the first time, a successful hybrid simulation of a GHz UWFCA that contains a large 128×128 bulk-acoustic-wave (BAW) transducers array.
