Electronic sports (eSports) is attracting attention as an initiative in extending the life expectancy of the elderly. The quantitative detection of stimuli and emotions obtained from eSports helps quantitatively determine the extent to which people enjoy these types of games. We believe that it can be used to evaluate and improve eSports and extend the life expectancy of the elderly. In this study, we examine a method for estimating emotional arousal intervals while participating in eSports. Consequently, we found the possibility of estimating emotional arousal intervals by focusing on the saturation information in the left-cheek region of the face.
